Julian Betko joins Zan Tabak as speakers at the Future Stars National Coaching Clinic 2025

We are excited to announce that Julian Betko will join Zan Tabak as one of the speakers at the Future Stars National Clinic 2025 delivered in partnership with Basketball England taking place 30th August 2025 at Brunel University, London.

Julian Betko, Director and Head coach at Get Better Academy, Czech Republic is responsible for overseeing the total structure for basketball development of all GBA players. The GBA programme is extremely successful in the development of junior players, developing and signing over 90 players to professional or college basketball.

Julian Betko started his basketball career as a player captaining the 2008 top 10 NCAA Butler Bulldogs. Julian’s collegiate career includes, NIT preseason Champion and All Tournament team selection, multiple Horizon league championships titles, league tournament championship and Scholar of the week titles before starting his professional career with BC Komarno, Slovakia.

As a coach, Julian Betko has held high profile positions in both Europe and USA including; Champions Academy (Indiana), where Betko trained high school players, college players, European professionals and NBA professionals to improve their individual skills through high intensity detail oriented drills alongside past division 1 Head Coach and NBA Assistant Coach, Ed Schilling (UCLA).

Coach Betko was Head Coach at Canarias Basketball Academy (CBA), Gran Canaria, Spain with the U18 programme and Skill Instructor for CBA U20. In recent years, Julian Betko has worked as Assistant Coach with the Boston Celtics and also individually with numerous NBA and Euroleague players such as Davis Bertrans (Washington Wizards/Dubai, Iffe Lundberg (Phoenix suns/Partizan Belgrade), Rodions Kurucs (Brooklyn Nets/Baskonia) and many others.

Julian Betko, joins NBA and Euroleague Champion, Zan Tabak as speakers at the 2025 National Coaching Clinic to give UK based coaches the opportunity to benefit from their vast successful experience developing players from junior to professional level. Zan Tabak will deliver two separate lectures on: “Individual interior game workout” and “Interior game team tactics” with Julian Betko speaking on ‘Pick and roll skills’ and ‘Options created by pick & roll’.

The clinic is suitable for aspiring coaches at every level who will also have the opportunity to observe some high quality European and English players on the court. The clinic will take place on Saturday 30th August at Brunel University, London, and will start at 09:00 to 13:30 and will run alongside the Future Stars International tournaments.
