Future Stars 2013 took place from 28th to 30th August 2013 at Surrey Sports Park. The event included all the trademarks of Future Stars events with an elite International tournament for U18 National Teams, International Coaching Clinic and mass participation events.
Future Stars International Tournament 2013
The 2013 Future Stars International Tournament took place from 28th to the 30th August 2013 at Surrey Sports Park. The tournament featured the U18 National teams from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina,, Sweden, England, in addition to London United Harefield Academy.
London United Harefield Academy beat Bosnia and Herzegovina to take 3rd place, with Croatia taking the Future Stars 2013 Title with a 73-63 win over England.

National Coaching Clinic 2013
The National Coaching Clinic held in conjunction with England Basketball took place at Surrey Sports Park on Saturday 29th June 2013.
The clinic will had coaching and development of young players at its centre and provided a platform for coaches with a proven track record across Europe to share the secrets of their great success.
The Coaching Clinic was be led by Ante Nazor, who has led one of the most talented young generations in Croatian basketball history. Ante was be supported by Nenad Markovic , Head coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina who will spoke on Individual Offensive Skills. By popular demand the 2013 Future Stars Coaching Clinic will also saw the return of Olle Lunden who continues at the helm of Swedish U18 Basketball. In addition Head Coach of Oviedo Club Baloncesto (LEB Gold), Guillermo Arenas Milan spoke on fast break and transition offense.
The coaching clinic was run alongside the Future Stars International Tournament 2013 and all delegates had the opportunity to watch the International coaches in action on the afternoon of the clinic which featured the National U18 teams from Croatia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina and England, along with London United Harefield Academy

Future Stars Proj3kt 3×3
Future Stars in conjunction with England Basketball and the BBL Foundation’s Proj3kt 3on3 held the Future Stars Proj3kt 3×3 FIBA endorsed Competition open to Streetballers from the UK, France and Benelux.
The competition was held on 30th June 2013 at Surrey Sports Park and offered the chance to win qualification to the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challenger in Romania, flights and accomodation included!
The competition was open in the following categories: Under 14 Male, Under 14 Female, Under 16 Male, Under 16 Female, Under 18 Male, Under 18 Female, Open Male, Open Female.
Along with a place on the FIBA World Rankings the winner of the Male Open category received qualification to the FIBA World Tour Challenger in Bucharest, Romania, flights and accommodation included (max 3 players). Winner of Bucharest Tournament receives €5000 (€1000 for runner up).
Winners of the U18 Male and Female categories received places on the Oviedo Baloncesto Summer Camp (prize included camp, accommodation, food and ground transport in Spain for max 3 players per team). Other prizes were available for the remaining categories.
Scouting session by Professional Spanish Club
In partnership with Oviedo Club Baloncesto, 30 young and aspiring basketball players fro Greater London were invited to participate in a training sessions run by coaching staff from Spanish LEB Gold team Oviedo Basketball Club.
The session took place on Friday 28th June 2013 6pm-7:30pm at Surrey Sports Park and was conducted by Oviedo Basketball Club (LEB Gold) Head Coach Guillermo Arenas Milan and the Director of the Basketball Academy, Fernando Garcia Cespedes and was designed for young players who would like to continue their career in Europe.
In addition to taking part in the scouting session, the players then got the opportunity to stay to watch the U18 National Teams take to the court in the Future Stars International tournament with the U18 England National Team facing Sweden at 8pm.
