Future Stars 2024 International Tournament
The 2024 edition of the Future Stars International Basketball tournament expanded to a new, bigger format. For the first time in our history we added a U14 category to the tournament which will took place at our spiritual home, Brunel University between the 23rd to 25th of August 2024.
In the U18 category, the U18 England National Team will locked horns against the previous year’s runner-up Stella Azzurra (Italy), Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg (Germany), and WHO’S NEXT, select team combining US and UK players. The list of contestants was completed by London United who fielded several players who were at the core of the team which finished second in the U18 National League last season. Stella Azzurra Academy reigned supreme to retain their crown and return to Italy as Future Stars International Tournament champions for the 2nd year running after defeating the England National Team in the final with the result ending 71-85.
The Under 14 category was contested by the U14 England National Team, Stella Azzurra (Italy), Platon Academy (Greece), and London United Legends, comprising of a collaboration between London United and London Legends to bring the best young players in this category in the Greater London Area. The final of the competition saw the London United Legends claim the first ever U14 Future Stars International Tournament title after facing the England National Team in the final (93-87).

To commemorate and celebrate some of the legends of British basketball and the heroic achievements of the Kingston Kings on the European scene in the ’90’s, the Future Stars 2024 event featured a Legends Veterans game between players representing the Kingston team and members of another organisation that attempted to make themselves at home at the Euroleague level, London Towers. The game will took place on 25th August 2024 at 3pm, directly before the Future Stars International U18 final. For more information on the celebratory game please click here.
