In his role as ambassador and role model for UEFA’s community and social responsibility program Graeme Le Saux was kept busy in a package of activities organised by Euroleague designed around both promoting basketball in the UK and reaching out to the communities as part of their social responsibility programmes.

To kick off the proceeding of the Euroleague weekend Graeme was a speaker on the panel at the Innovation in Sports Business Summit held at City Hall directly after the Euroleague opening presentations.  The Sports Business Summit brought together sports experts from various field and backgrounds to discuss issues such as media, marketing and social responsibility.  Graeme Le Saux alongside other ex-pros such as Robert Pires and Christian Karembeu then took on Euroleague legends at their own game in Trafalgar Square in the Euroleague Fan Zone. This celebrity basketball game also featured special Olympics youngsters. The unified game celebrated One Team and the efforts made by special Olympics, UEFA and Euroleague Basketball to use sport as a tool for positive social change.

Future Stars caught up with Graeme Le Saux during his busy weekend to continue the discussion of sports social responsibility and developing basketball in the UK.
