Future Stars presents a very unique opportunity to learn from the coaches who were instrumental in the creation of the current generation of NBA and international stars. Coach Marius Huth, current Head Coach of Alba Berlin Junior Programme was at the heart of the development of Franz and Moritz Wagners. After very successful junior years at Alba Berlin, both brothers reached mega star status in the NBA where Moritz is currently with Brooklyn Nets while Franz is the cornerstone of the Orlando Magic. Apart from very successful careers on the other side of the ocean Franz and Moritz Wagner were the foundation of the German National Team which has won European and World Championships.
It’s no surprise that with such a pedigree Coach Huth also plays an important role in the programme for the German National Junior Teams. He was the Head Coach of U15 National Team in 2019-22, Head Coach of U18 National Team in 2021 and the Head Coach of U16 National Team in 2022.
Coach Huth will speak alongside Veljko Mršić at the National Coaching Clinic.
Coach Mršić playing career which culminated in winning bronze medals at Eurobasket 1993 and 1995, World Championship in 1994 and representing Croatia in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta was absolutely in the middle of the Goldean Era of Croatian basketball. It is not a big surprise that while having such an illustrious career at the national level, he also represented the biggest European powerhouses on the club level as well. Coach Mršić played for such massive clubs like Olympiacos, Malaga, Zalgiris, Girona, Varese and Milano.
After his playing days, Veljko Mršić has forged an equally successful coaching career boasting winning four National Championships and four National Cups in Croatia while coaching Zadar, Cedevita, Split and Cibona. In addition to coaching in his native Croatia he also coached in the Spanish ACB where he worked with Rio Breogan and Bilbao Basket and Italy where he successfully overlooked the progress of Varese. Between 2020-2022 Coach Mršić was held the Head Coach position of the Croatian National Team and since 2025 as the Head Coach of Dinamo Sassari.
The clinic will take place on Saturday 29th August at Brunel University, London, and will start at 09:00 to 13:30 and will run alongside the Future Stars International tournaments.
