Gintreda Future Stars 2019

The latest edition of Future Stars will take place between Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September 2019 at Brunel University.

The Gintreda Future Stars 2019 event encompasses an International tournament and International coaching clinic taking place over the same weekend. We have also partnered with the London Region of Basketball England to include tournaments for U16 players with both boys and girls categories taking place on the 31st August and 1st September alongside the International Tournament and National Coaching Clinic.

The combination of activities ensures that we are catering for all levels of participation from grass roots to elite and coach development turning Brunel University into a ‘Basketball Village’ for the duration of the event.

International Junior Tournament

The International tournament takes place from the 30th August to the 1st September 2019 and will see top European club teams showcase their highest international talent.

The legendary Junior International Tournament which has taken a hiatus since 2013 has previously featured players such as Jan Vesely (Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul), Dario Saric (Phoenix Suns), Nicolo Meli (Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul), Tomas Satoransky (Washington Wizards) and Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz) is back for 2019 and will be held at Brunel University, London.

The tournament will feature truly great European clubs boasting a rich history in developing talent. The following U18 teams will be competing for the Future Stars 2019 Championship title; Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv (Final 8 Euroleague ANGT 2019), Rytas Vilnius (Euroleague ANGT 2018 Winner), Oxygen Orange 1 Basket, Porsche Ludwigsburg and the U18 England National Team.

National Coaching Clinic

Future Stars working in conjunction with Basketball England are excited to announce the details of the National Coaching Clinic 2019 which will take place on Saturday 31st August at Brunel University, London. The clinic will have coaching and development of young players at its centre and provides a platform for coaches with a proven track record in the field of youth basketball across Europe to share the secrets of their great success.

The Coaching Clinic is suitable for aspiring coaches at every level, the cost of the clinic has been set at a very affordable £40 per delegate which includes a commemorative coaching board.

The coaching clinic will run alongside the Gintreda Future Stars International Tournament and all delegates will have the opportunity to watch the International coaches in action on the afternoon of the clinic.

Grassroots Junior Competition

To ensure that we are catering for all levels of basketball performers we are working in collaboration with the London Region of Basketball England who are organising tournaments for U16 players with both boys and girls categories. The U16 tournament will take place on the 31st August and 1st September alongside the Junior International Tournament and National Coaching Clinic at Brunel University, London.
